Can you give me a summary of World War II prophecies that the Watchtower did not succumb to?
I do not know which one they did not succomb to but they did claim to have predicted the outcome of WW2 and the subsequent formation of the UN.

"19 Yes, the “faithful and discreet slave” was awake to the coming of 1914. In 1942 the “faithful and discreet slave” guided by Jehovah’s unerring spirit made known that the democracies would win World War II and that there would be a United Nations organization set up. Such wakefulness was concerning events that unerringly took place three years later. At the 1958 Divine Will International Assembly amazing advance information in connection with Daniel’s prophecy was given about events to occur in the immediate future. Such evidence of spiritual foresight is recorded for us in the book “Your Will Be Done on Earth.” Once again the “faithful and discreet slave” has been tipped off ahead of time for the guidance of all lovers of God. Surely one’s present security depends on his staying awake with the “faithful and discreet slave.”
The reasons why these claims are BS are many and if you're really interested I'll post them here.
As far as the "foretelling" of the formation of the UN by the Jo Ho's in 1942, note the following:

"On 1st January 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, supported by the representatives of 26 countries, published the Declaration by United Nations, a document that pledged their governments to continue fighting together against Nazi Germany and Japan during the Second World War."
"This declaration was followed by a conference of Foreign Ministers in Moscow, in October, 1943 where discussions took place concerning a replacement for the discredited League of Nations."
On Jan 1, 1941, Roosevelt announced the formation of the UN. The Watchtower above says: "In 1942 the “faithful and discreet slave” guided by Jehovah’s unerring spirit made known that the democracies would win World War II and that there would be a United Nations organization set up."
They would have had to have done it before Jan 1, 1942. Also, there were news stories in 1941 about the new UN.
As far as the Jo Ho's predicting who would win WW2 in 1942, after the Battle of Midway in June of 1942, it was pretty obvious that Japan was dealt a blow that she could never recover from.
Also, a year earlier in June of 1941, Hitler had invaded Russia and by 1942 was getting his butt kicked. It was obvious to military stratagests that Germany could not sustain a Battle on two fronts, as they were already fighting in N. Africa and they knew it was a matter of time before the allies attacked on a third front, in France. The Germans were expecting it as early as 1941 and they committed serious manpower to building "Hitlers Atlantic Wall"
So, it was no big secret in 1942 that Germany and Japan would likely loose the war.
Also, I can't find, in my library where the Watchtower Society actually said that Germany would lose WW2, but as I have explained, it was expected.
So basically, the Watchtower of 1960 is full of hot air.

I have no idea what "amazing advanced information" they were given when God "tipped them off". I've read the "Your Will be Done" book, many times. It is the Jo Ho's interpretaion of trhe book of Daniel and their convoluted interpretation of Daniels prophesies. Even as a Jo Ho I didn't find any "amazing advanced information". Just the same old jumping around and bending and merging unrelated history, facts and scripture into their myopic version of God's will.
A lot of what was the truth in 1942 is not "the truth" anymore.
Hey, but God "tipped them off". That's a hoot! My bookie "tips me off", My broker "tips me off". I wish God would "tip me off" on a couple of football games and hot stocks.
But hey, I learned a lot about Daniels halucenation of a statue being crushed by a rock and the Jo Ho's equally looney explaination of it.

Cheaply produced programs that need no research, sold cheaply to the networks. They are nothing but extended commercials for the books and other trash produced by the people appearing in the programs.
If the networks didn't have 24 hour programming and multiple channels then they would not have to use this junk. The more TV there is, the more the quality declines.

2012 end-of-the-world prophecies, but I'm impressed by the accuracy of the Mayan documentation of natural phenomenons.
More importantly, the Mayans did not predict the end of the world. It's just the end of a cycle, which no one really knows exactly what. The doomsayers are just saying it's the apocalypse. I'm not sure what our scientists are saying.]]>
