why do people like to pretend its the end times...?
... come off it. those so called ''prophecies'' in the bible are spurious at best and completely ambiguous. i.e. "the children of israel have an impact upon the whole world" is about the most specific one dealing with todays times. among others like "the ruins of israel will be rebuilt", "there will be many wars", yada yada. really? come on. is that the best they could do? nostradomus was a lot more accurate than that. are those supposed to scare us into believing? like the invention of hell?
I grew up in that world and over my nearly forty years have heard,"Its the end," so many times I think I will puke if I hear it again.
I can think of 20 or so folks the supposed antichrist was to be just off the top of my head. Christians are obsessed with the end of the world even though their bible tells them NOT to pray for the end I have found they often do.

i dont believe the myth about 12 21 2012.. i want to write a paper about the myth .. or should it just be about "world ending myths" i dont want my teacher to think i am lke weird tho cuz im writing about world end.. i kno the topic is interesting or should it be generalized world end myths like nostradomus and hopi indians and mayan ?

Sounds like a great idea. It's interesting and current and you will be able to find lots of articles, pro and con. You don't mention what class this research paper is for, so I find it difficult to offer suggestions on which direction or focus you might take. Good Luck, I'm sure you will find it fun and interesting just to research the topic.
