the end of the world december What do you think about "The world is going to end on December 23, 2012"?
A lot of people believe that the Mayan calculations are correct. I on the other hand believe it is all a bunch of lies. I doubt that the world would end so soon, if at all in the 2000's.

i have heard tons of stuff about the world ending 5 years from now and the sun reaching its solar maximum and burning us all to a crisp. is this stuff true or made up?
Well that is when the Mayans, according to their calendar predicted that a great flood will wipe out most of the species on the planet. Since the Mayan calendar is more accurate than any we have even today, I would think they know or knew what they were talking about. And since scientist say that within the next 5 years the Ross Ice Shelf will probably break off and become the largest iceberg in human history, I kind of believe it too. The Ross Ice Shelf is approximately 1500 square kilometers in size and about 2 miles thick. They(the scientists) predict that all of the world's oceans and lakes and rivers will rise anywhere from 47 to 50 some odd feet. In America that would make the Mississippi River about 400 miles wide. But, who knows?
