end of the world bible End of the World: Bible says 2012?
Okay, I've just been doing a little research because the idea of the world ending soon and people thinking they know the date and everything..it's interesting. However, I keep seeing all the references on sites that people make to the year 2012, and repetitively I see "it says in the Bible" or something of the sort.
Honestly.
Can someone PLEASE give me an actual verse from the Bible--something I can look up myself in my own bible, where it EVER says the world ends in 2012..?
Because as far as my church upbringing has taught me, only God knows, and He did NOT have them put it in the Book
I would be very interested to find this in my Bible.
Are we looking at different books?
It's a stupid "prophecy" inferred from the fact that the Mayan calendar supposedly ends on some date in 2012.
How "Mayan calendar" translates to "Christian Bible", I'll never know.

There is a part of the bible that states something about locusts in the end of times. I am 48 years YOUNG. Anyway, when I was a CHILD in Virginia, I remember a locust swarm that was horrible. Was THAT supposed to be the end of the world? I am pretty sure they swarm every so many years in different areas. Can someone clarify this in relation to the bible? Thank you.

also, just because science (actually mathematics for the shape of the earth) tells us something doesn't mean it's always right.
Just because some people believe the world is round doesn't mean they automatically have to believe evolution is true.
Cause they think that only they have the whole truth about Christian ways and God's will.
