when is the end of the world 2012
When do you think the world is gonna end?
I saw that someone wrote that the world will end in 2012, and said that he got it from the astec indians.
When do you think all of man kind will cease to live?
Planets got to end somehow, and sometime.
personally, i believe in the oscillating theory of the universe.
this pretty much states that the universe expands as far as is physically possible, and then slowly gravity pulls all the matter in the universe back into a single point [a big crunch], where it combines to form a massive explosion [a big bang], which throws it all back out again, and on and on it goes, the universe expanding and contracting into infinity.
this can be proved by measuring red shift. red shift is a shift in the light spectrum being reflected back to earth from other planets and stars. visible light is split into the colours of the rainbow, and the red end of the spectrum has the longest wavelength. scientists measure the amount of light reaching earth, and as time passes, more red light is being received, suggesting that the universe is indeed expanding.
by this line of reasoning, human kind will die when the universe begins to contract. it is more likely however, that the human race will have died of its own accord by this point, through war or pollution, or when our sun dies.
but if the universe is constantly expanding and contracting, then the same compounds and elements, protons, neutrons and electrons will be fired together, and essentially produce the same end product. so who are we to say that human life is oscillating also?
but still, the question of when, exactly the human race will cease to exist [at least for a few millennia], is a problematic one.
humans measure time by the rising and setting of the sun. time is a hard concept to get your head around. as humans experience life with a beginning [birth] and an end [death] we cannot comprehend anything that doesn't begin or end, as time does. a commonly asked question is "What happened before time began?".. the answer is that time is infinite. it never began, it will never end. you will begin, and you will end, but time and the universe will not.
your tomorrow is someone else's today, and soon that today will be yesterday.
so my answer to your very problematic question is an equally problematic answer...
man kind will cease to live yesterday.

When will the world end? Is 2012 true?
I know tons of people probably asked this question. My very close uhm, friend is graduating in 2013. People say the world will end in 2012... 
The Mayan calendar ends in 2012. But I wouldn't be to worry about the end of the world plan for tomorrow and live for today and the future will take care of itself. Good Luck.
