Will the world end 2012?

Okay okay. I know that this whole 2012 thing is on the Mayan Calender. But I'm just not sure. You see we've been having a lot of tornadoes, earthquakes *like japan*, Chile's volcano erupted, and a hurricane is forming. I just want to know, will we be alright? And will we ONLY die until the sun runs out of heat, energy, etc. Thanks

There are many earthquakes that occur on the planet each day. Volcanoes have been erupting since the very beginning. Hurricanes and tornadoes have caused havoc for just as long. The large solar maximum that we are holding our breath for is now a lot less likely to make its appearance. Finally, our calendar has been ending and starting over once a year for decades without any any incidences outside of drunk partying.

The only difference here is that the media has finally learned to use the internet to broadcast every tragic story ever found on the face of the planet because we, as a species, have egos that love drama and disasters. Ten years ago you would not have heard of nearly as many natural disasters as you do now. Yet they were happening back then too. They will happen in 2012, in 3012, and so on.

What will happen on December 21st 2012 besides the world ending? (people who belive in the 2012 thing only)?

The world is not gonna end!! but something will happen so what will happen on the 21st of december 2012? Just asking so i could know ahead of time cuz i wanna live to see 15!

Sorry I "don't belive" in 2012, but you gotta know- The truth is, the Mayans had many calendars ending on certain dates that represent spiritual cycles in the life force. Their last one ended on 2012 because they predicted that that day the solar system would allign with the center of the galaxy (they were great astronomists). This was not correct, however. Now, the 2012 myth supposedly comes from Nostradamus, a predictor of the future, even though he never actually reportedly mentioned this. Most likely, it arose from common myths around his time attributed to him relating to the Mayans who were found by the Spanish around that time. Sooooooo niether the Mayans nor Nostradamus, who the prediction is reffered to, ever believed in 2012, soooooo there is NO reason to believe it.
To answer your question: a solar flare like in the stupid movie
