end of the world predictions Do you think Harold Camping is trying to beat the 2012 nutters to the punch with his 2011 end-of-the-world...?
...predictions?
I think the whole thing is BS, 2011, 2012 and all the rest of that nonsense. Just remember this, when it all comes and goes and we are all still here, he is going to look like a stupid a$$.

end of the world predictions End of the world or not?
Any thoughts on the end of the world prediction on 12/21/2012?
Geez people... don't have a cow man. I was just watching the Discovery Channel and they have a reasonable argument. You don't have to be so hostile...
Scientists have claimed there will be a Solar Storm on 12/21/2012. Nostrodamus predicted it and so did the Mayans. So I don't really know.
I've also heard predictions of an airborne epidemic that will spread through terrorists and we will be wiped out, or the Sun will die out and turn into a big black hole sucking us up. I also heard of "Apothus", an asteroid that is heading towards earth and is due to come very close to earth [and perhaps hit it] on April 13th, 2029. And I watched that the world will burn up from Global Warming, and then eventually freeze into another Ice Age.
We won't know for sure until it happens.

end of the world predictions throughout history Jehovah's Witnesses, what's the deal with Miracle Wheat and Beth Sarim?
I've researched a bit on the history of the Watchtower and it seems there was a lot of fraud and false prophecy throughout the history of it. The ones that really stand out are Russell's Miracle Wheat and Rutherford's Beth Sarim, and all the false predictions of Armageddon and the end of the world as we know it, of course. Now, the the thing that enabled Russell to start printing literature was based on fraud, Miracle Wheat, which gave him money to print all of his material. Rutherford built Beth Sarim for the Old Testament prophets, but he was the only one that lived there, in absolute luxury.
Were your first two dictators frauds?
Me me me - I am a born-again Christian, I don't belong to any denomination.
I've researched the history of the Watchtower a lot too, over the last few months. You're very correct that were lots of false prophecies and unsavoury characters and occurences.
I don't know too much about Miracle Wheat, but Beth Sarim genuinely shocked me. I never knew about it before.
Rutherford certainly seemed to be a fraud (a mentally unstable alcoholic one at that).
edit:..it's a real shame that "i tell you whut" can't ever seem to actually address the question, or answer the question, and instead resorts to insulting the asker. Sad.
edit: "me me me" has it occurred to you that he might not HAVE a religion? Why do you assume that he is religious?
HISTORY OF THE END OF THE WORLD, A: HOW THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL BO by Kirsch, Jonathan. 8vo. 1st ptg.
David Icke The Comning Third World War 19.4.09
Do you think this could happen? Do you think it's crap? What are your thoughts?
My attention was caught by the question here on Y/A about this and i immediately scanned it in the internet i was scared of the facts:
here are prophecies and oracles from around the world that all seem to point to December 21, 2012 as doomsday. The ancient Mayan Calendar, the medieval predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese oracle of the I Ching all point to this specific date as the end of civilization. A new technology called "The Web-Bot Project" makes massive scans of the internet as a means of forecasting the future... and has turned up the same dreaded date: 2012. Skeptics point to a long history of "Failed Doomsdays", but many oracles of doom throughout history have a disturbingly accurate track record. As the year 2012 ticks ever closer we'll speculate if there are any reasons to believe these doomsayers.
Wow... sounds just like the prediction that the planes would fall from the skies in 2000 as a result of the dreaded Y2K bug.
I have to say that your reference to accurate doomsdays prophecies is a load of bull - this is proven by the fact that 2000 was apparently the interpreted date of the End of Civilisation from the Bible (depending on your school of thought) and yet here i am a total of 8 years later writing this message to debunk what is blatantly idiocy to begin with.
The Mayan Calendar apparently predicted to date of doomsday as two years after the arrival of the ghost people from the lands of the rising sun - i.e. the east. I have to say that was back in the 17the Century - so "Myth Busted" to steal a pop culture term.
Merlin - from my readings all he did was play with magik and put Arthur on the Throne of Angle-land (ancient England). So not too sure where you picked up these "new writings" from a man who by all accounts could barely write at all.
Here's a better idea:
The world will come to an end when u die
Simple to understand - you die and no longer perceive the world; therefore the world no longer exists because you do not perceive it to.
Set you own date.... i'm setting my "doomsday" for 5:55 tomorrow morning so i can some more damn sleep!!!
