nostradamus end of the world predictions

What year did Nostradamus say the world would end?

I know he mentioned several years or given dates, anyone know or any of the given dates within any prediction??

Nostradamus' prophecies extend to the year 3797. Although, now people are trying to tie some of them to the whole '2012 End of the Mayan Calendar Doomsday' scare.

Prophecies and Predictions of Nostradamus (Part 9)

2012 is based off of Nostradamus predictions alone.?

The "end of the world" 2012 prediction has thus far been based off of Nostradamus predictions alone, however some of Nostradamus's predictions have been (not wrong per-say) but not all parts of the predictions happened or were accurate. So are we really going to let this one mans "dream" be our belief (obviously not everyone thinks the world will end in 2012). Or do you think that we should realize that, people have been "PREDICTING" the end of the world for centuries, their predictions never held true, why should we go by his?
actually no, if you do the history you will find that we discovered Nostadamus's prediction well before the calander.
Very good point Robert, thank you I did not take that into account. However where do you stand? Are you a believer, or a skeptic?

2012 Doomsday has numerous misinterpreted origins. Nostradamus is one of the easier ones to debunk -----> http://www.2012hoax.org/nostradamus

Pay close attention to the "dates beyond 2012" part.

End of Zee World

Was there or was there not a failed end of the world prediction (1975) by the Watchtower Society?

I asked how many members it cost the organization when the prediction failed, and some disgruntled JWs are calling me a liar and insisting no such prediction was ever made, even though I read about it on religioustolerance dot org.
My previous question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100608072330AAbwvA1

Yes.

Here are some of Russell and Rutherford's own false predictions that never came true, from Watchtower publications:
1.) 1872: The beginning of the millennium. False, so Watchtower Publications later changed the date to 1975. Wrong again!
2.) 1874: Christ's second coming. The Bible says that He shall come in the clouds, and every eye shall see Him. Jesus Christ did not return in 1874.
3.) 1914: All world governments will be overthrown. God will glorify His people, and govern the world. Later, Watchtower Publications admitted that these prophecies and those of 1918, and 1925 had been wrong.
4.) 1915: When man's governments had not been replaced by God's in 1914, the date was changed to 1915. Later, the Wtachtower Society admitted that these prophecies "had not been fulfilled". (Gee, ya think??)
5.) 1918: The end of Gentiles times. The churches to all be destroyed. Did not happen.
6.) 1920: Mountains, republics, and kingdoms will disappear. Pretty sure that did not happen, either.
7.) 1925: "There will be NO slip-up... Abraham should enter upon the actual possession of his promised inheritance in the year 1925." Watchtower publications later admitted that this prediction, and those of 1914, 1915, and 1918 had been wrong.
8.) 1929: The Watchtower Society built a house for the return of faithful OT people. It became an embarrassing monument to a false prophecy, and it was sold in 1948.
9.) 1932: The overthrow of Christendom. Previously had been predicted for 1918, later moved to 1925, and again to 1932. Still has not happened.
10.) 1975: Beginning of the millennium. Because the Millennium had not begun in 1872 as prophesied, the date was changed to 1975. When this date passed without the prophecy being fulfilled, many JWs (don't know how many, sorry) applied Russell's test of a false prophet, and left the movement.

C.T. Russell and J.F. Rutherford, the men that made these false prophecies, claimed that they were based on their interpretations of scripture. In all these points, their interpretations had dates, so they could be put to the test, and they were wrong. The interpreations of scripture BY THESE SAME MEN, are the basis for all JW doctries and teachings.
