the end of the world 2012 nostradamus
When does everyone think the world will end? I believe 2012 because of Nostradamus.?
I think Nostradamus and the Mayans came up with December 21, 2012. Does anyone know how they came up with this?
STOP, please stop, believing in irrational nonsense. We do not have to be tiny, scared, superstitious little monkeys screaming at the dark anymore. You don't have to believe every supernatural, fear-mongering metaphysical theory that comes your way. In fact, you shouldn't.. People only believe crap like this because they are scared deep down inside.
The universe is a MUCH more magickal, fascinating, infinitely amazing place when you stop being scared of it.
Believing things like this is a weakness. Nostradamus had no foresight and even if he did he never mentioned 2012. One culture out of hundreds, out of THOUSANDS...1 ancient, dead, primitive, only half-understood culture didn't make a calendar past a certain date a thousand years in their own future and now educated, rational, modern man trembles in boots and wets his pants in fear of the end of an entire world? Seriously? How does any thoughtful, rational, intelligent person believe crap like this for even a second?
It's easy to say "what's the harm in believing something like this? Why get angry at people who do want to believe it?"

(Here are 1810 people who were harmed in various incidents because they believed in end of the world predictions - from financial harm to death over a "silly" little belief.)
You can think rationally, not be scared of the world around you, and DO something with your life, or you can be scared over what some 1000-year dead Mayan marked on his calendar and waste your time, life, and mental energies on things you know deep down inside to be crap. But I guess most people believe in crap so that they don't have to take ownership over (the failures in) their own lives. It's easier if metaphysics predicts the end of the world so you can keep playing X-box than it is to believe in reality and have to get off your couch and try to actually contribute to the growth of mankind.

Nostradamus Predicts The World Will End in 2012
Did Nostradamus believe the end of the world in 2012 or 3797?
I am confused because his prophesies don't go beyond 3797 but many people say that he prophesied the end of the world in 2012
Nostradamus believed the world would end in 3797 or 3786 (depeding on who you ask of course.) The Mayans' calender ends on 2012. It perhaps means the world ends, or a new world of change begins.
