2012 asteroid nasa planet

Could this be scientifically possible?
An asteroid/planet coming in 2012? I've heard much stories about this and science isn't my specialty. I've read that this is traveling at 2x the speed of light and that is why it is not visible by now? Could this be true? Does it break any physic laws? Could NASA or Govt's cover this up? I know the mayan calendar ends and their are speculations about Nostradamous who rambled on about nonsense, but could it possibly be true by science standards? Why or why not? Could the upcoming movie in November called 2012 be true?!?
No. It's not possible.
The "2012 doomsday" is a hoax. It's a fraud. It's a con job. It's a cruel and cynical lie being promoted by unscrupulous pseudo-scientific cranks who have a monetary interest: They want to sell their books, videos, 'survival kits', and spaces in non-existent shelters in Antarctica. They also want to divert attention from the fact that they have been wrong so many times before. It's also being pushed by people who are promoting a Hollywood disaster movie due out later this year.
All of the claims of 'predictions' by the Maya, the Aztecs, the Chinese (I Ching), Nostradamus, Sir Isaac Newton, Edgar Cacey, "Mother Shipton" are false: they did not make the claimed predictions. Predictions by others such as José Argüelles, Terrence McKenna, Nancy Leider, Mark Hazelwood and others are contrived pseudo-scientific nonsense.
There is no "Planet X" or Nibiru. If someone claims that this object exists, then I (and others in this forum) have been asking for the RA/Dec coordinates for it. If they can provide those coordinates and allow independent verification of its existence, then they can collect $5,000 from http://nibiruchallenge.blogspot.com.
There will be no 'pole shift', either geographic or magnetic. There will be no 'killer solar flares'. There is no 'Photon Belt'. These events are fiction. There will be no 'galactic alignment' or 'planetary alignment' of any kind, and we will not pass through the central plane of the galaxy, and even if these events were to occur, they would not cause any problems for us.
As far as what is *really* going to happen:
Olympic games in London
Leap Year
U.S. Presidential election
Transit of Venus on June 6th

Doomsday Prophecy 2012: NASA admits it now!!!!
Could this be scientifically possible?
I've read so much about an asteroid/planet coming by 2012(Nibiru/ dwarf planet/asteroid)? Could this be true by any science standards? Like I've read that it is traveling at 2x the speed of light and that's why it is not visible by now? Could NASA have missed such an object? Could the government cover this up? Would it be visible by now and why? I do not know much about science and the laws of it as it is not my specialty. Someone explain why this cannot happen? Could the upcoming movie in November be true?
"Nibiru" has become an urban myth that was started by a non-expert who made up his own translations of some ancient Babylonian text, and decided to write a sensationalistic book about it.
There is NO science behind it whatsoever. It's nothing but wild conjecture by people who have no scientific credentials. It was invented to sell a book. The only reason you see it mentioned so often is that it has (unfortunately) caught peoples' imagination, and has fueled rumors. You should know that just because you see something splashed all over the Internet, does not necessarily mean there's any truth at all to it.
> Could NASA have missed such an object?
No. And NASA aren't the only people who can see things in space. Any planet-sized object that's close enough to reach earth in three years, would be easily visible as a bright star in the sky by now. Everybody would know about it. It's just not there.
> I've read that it is traveling at 2x the speed of light ...
That's the product of a wild imagination. The laws of physics say that it's impossible for any mass to travel even 1x the speed of light, let alone 2x.
> Could the upcoming movie in November be true?
No. Hollywood is famous for ignoring science and reality, and this is just another such case. I'd kinda like to see the movie myself -- I like a good action/adventure movie -- but I long ago gave any hope of blockbuster movies portraying accurate science.
