Of all the people who have predicted the end of the world and been wrong, why are the Mayan's (too so many people) different about their predictions than some random person on the street screaming the world will end December 21 2012?
What I'm trying to say is why are a bunch of human sacrificing primitives being given so much credit and why are so many people freaking out over their prediction, especially after all the others have been wrong. And in today's modern society of rational thinking, if someone else were too say that the world was going to end they would be labeled crazy. But a bunch of primitives aren't. Explain this to me.
Well, in "modern times of rational thinking", we still have religious fanatics claiming that God will smite the wicked and end the world. All the signs are there, but come on! The signs are always going to be there. But people will keep waiting for the end. A date that they will be waiting forever for, I'm afraid...

From the research i have been doing, it seems very likely that the weather is going to get bad and the storms will be arising. Nasa and the governments all over the world are getting ready for this and the population which is over populated will not be when the new age comes into play. The new age is the age of aquarius which is an age of love and new recoginition. With the end of an age brings destruction and with the pole shifts that are going to occur it is going to be bad. Now with humans being extremly primitive "In converstations with God" of course we can expect people to say, that this is BS and remember Y2K. i remember Y2K and i remember in 1998, 1999 they were saying that the computers were fixed and no where did they say this would be the end of the world. Because humans don't want to die and they don't want to see destruction i am expecting people to say all this kind of stuff. So the question i have, is how do you tell friends and family without sound crazy ?

what is the opinion of anyone reading this about the events that are supposed to happen on 12/21/2012?
The mayan calander ends on 12/21/2012. What could be the reason for this? Some say its the end of the world and others say its the day aliens will come out into the open and show that they without a doubt really do exist.
Maybe you should read and watch everything you can about the Mayans?
There are some reasonable documentaries about them, and they fill you in more about them...
Note - this applies to the Aztecs and Incas as well - the Mayans being the earlier..
Not only the regular documentaries - but also the series - "What the Ancients Did For Us" and "What the Ancients Knew"...
How sad it is, that the early Catholic missionaries burnt almost all the information there was about them... at the time of the Aztecs, that very few text has survived because of them.
And so blame Christianity for us being in the dark about the Mayan calendar, etc etc.
