I'm doing a solo talk on the 2012 doomsday theory and need the basic info that will last about 4 minutes. Try and mention all the theories and Top Contributors, don't hit me with a wall of text that's 100 paragraphs long.
Here's a summary of the main nonsense.
There is no 'ancient prediction' by the Mayans or anyone else. These were all invented in the last 20 years.
There is no Planet X or Nibiru about to pass by. Why don't the fraudsters tell us its current location in the sky, so we can all look at it? You decide.
There will be no rare alignment, either planetary or galactic. When was the last alignment that caused us any problems anyway?
There will be no pole shift. A magnetic pole shift is not imminent and probably tens of thousands of years away. A sudden rotational pole shift is a physical impossibility.
The next solar maximum is expected in mid 2013, not 2012 and is expected to be less intense than the last maximum in 2001.
Other predictions such as the photon belt and Terence McKenna's Timewave Zero are just too silly to bother with.

this isnt much of a question but more of a statement, i honestly dont think the world will end in 2012 just because some nutty scientist says it will doesnt mean anything, Only God knows when it in the bible it says something about "No one will know when it ends" well why does every "know" that its gonna end. It wont end. The Mayans probably just ran out of room on their giant rock calendar or maybe the guy died or something hahaha

Predictions of doom in 2012 are a bunch of fairytales, made up by people who want to sound important but didn't take enough science in school. Every single one of their claims can easily be disproved. There will be no pole shift, Planet X/Nibiru, deadly solar storm, rare alignment, photon belt nor any other of the made-up nonsense. It's just a heap of garbage.
