How can a world (the earth, universe, etc.) end?
Many say the world is going to end in 2012 but what would you define as a world ending? I mean even if there is no earth what about outer space?
The 'end of the world' is a mythical event which is invoked at regular intervals by religious zealots and various others who wish to appear knowledgeable and important, but in reality are delusional or psychotic. A few gullible people take them at their word, but the majority just ignore them because they know that mythical events don't take place. All sorts of fake doomsday scenarios are invented, usually an 'ancient myth' is involved and some bogus astronomical events are made up. This is the case with 2012, where not a single one of the imagined events has any basis in real science.
