People say that the world might end at 2012 is that true?

i watch lots of stuff on the internet and they say the wold will end at 2012 is that true???

sure, its true that people on the internet are saying 2012 is the end of the world.

so what?

if some guy with a website and no degree says the world will end, why do you listen?

is a guy that can photoshop a picture of Jupiter into a red fuzzy blob, then claims he took that picture of "Nibiru" with his cell phone... is he at all believable?

Which 2012 Theory Is True

If People say that the end of the world is 2012? would it be true only if Obama wins?

People say its because of the Antichrist. So that would make a lot of Sense. Obama win and because he is the Antichrist, the world ends after the end of his term.

I think about this literally everyday. Honestly, I don't think anyone will ever know. The bible says NO ONE will ever know when Christ will come back. It also says that the antichrist will come back as a world leader and everyone will follow him. Is this what is happening with Obama? I don't think anyone knows. Also it says he will survive a trauma to the head, and if history repeats itself (Lincoln shooting, Kennedy shooting...) our next president will be shot. Coinsidence? I haven't really researched any of this, I'm just going on what I've been hearing. It would make a lot of sense because 2012 would be the end of Obama's presidency, wouldn't he have had enough time to make everyone "follow" him? I don't know and I don't think anyone will ever know. It's not up to ANY of us.

Is It True The World Is Going To End In 2012?

I have been watching videos lately about "planet x" and how it is going to cause freak weather etc and kill of the human race, there is also another rumour that it will be world war 3, and that the mayans predicted a significant change in 2012, But is it all true?

Well stop watching those videos. :/ That sounds like something you might find on Wikipedia added by teenagers. Here's a hint, looks like the source(s) you got your 'information' from can has its reliability questioned. Make sure where you get your information from reliable sources!

The Mayans predicted the end of one cycle and the beginning of another, this happens on 12/ 21 / 2012. There calendar ends on that date. That's IT, however the whole cycle thing I mentioned HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. This year is also when the center of the galaxy, the sun and earth are all aligned. This has not happened in 13,000 years.

is the whole the world is going to end in 2012 true or false?

ive heard multiple things and i don't know what to believe. someone has showed me proof that a planet is going to collide into earth in 2012 and i kind of don't believe it. is it just a hoax to scare people or is it really going to happen and we must prepare for it?

False!

"2012" is a hoax designed to scare children and adults who know nothing about science. There is no science behind it, and no scientists believe in it.

The world has existed for over four billion years. Is it reasonable to expect that it will come to an end in less than three years? And all because of a Mayan calendar? Use some common sense.

The most interesting astronomical events in 2012 will be an annular eclipse of the Sun on 2012 May 20, a total eclipse of the Sun on 2012 Nov 13, and a transit of the planet Venus across the face of the Sun on 2012 Jun 06.

Scientists don't expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, except for the solstice, which happens every year.

None of the "predicted" happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. "Planet X" and "Nibiru" simply don't exist. The Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. The Sun doesn't line up with the galactic centre; it's 6 degrees off. No asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.

All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don't take any of it seriously!

The best way is to _inform yourself_ about 2012 by reading factual sites about it, rather than sites that are trying to sell you something. Here are a few:

Soo 2012? End of world? True or fake? whats the scoop?

im 15 i dont wanna die ------------nibiru returnig, polar shifting, black hole alignment, floods, giagantic catastopic shit going down.....im not redy for this in 3 yearssssssssssssssss. :(

No, the world isn't going to end in 2012. None of the claims by the doomsday prophets are based on science, just wild speculation. The people writing the books (notably Zecharia Sitchen) aren't scientists and are just trying to make money.

The Mayans didn’t predict doomsday. It is just the end of the current cycle of their Long Count calendar.

Nostradamus didn’t predict it. He never mentioned 2012 and all the Nostradamus "quotes" being thrown around aren't what he actually wrote. They are what some people have decided that he meant. Even Nostradamus scholars don't agree on how the various centuries and quatrains should be interpreted.

The Bible never mentions 2012 or references it in any way. It talks about the end times, but there is no mention of when.

Nibiru/Planet X doesn’t exist.

The Sun isn’t going to be aligned with the center of the galaxy.

There is no actual planetary alignment. Sometimes the planets appear to be aligned in our view of the sky. This is a long way from actual alignment in space.

Geomagnetic reversal - These reversals of the magnetic field have occurred in the past, as shown by magnetic striping, but we can’t predict when they will occur again. However, the time between reversals is not constant, varying from less than 100,000 years, to tens of millions of years.

Although fast by geological standards, reversals are by no means quick on the human time scale. They take roughly 5,000 years, with estimates ranging from 1,000 years to 8,000 years.

Solar flares – These do increase and decrease in an eleven year cycle. They haven't caused any serious problems in the past. The direct effects of solar flares are mainly related to communications and radio transmissions. We had a major series of solar flares in 2005.

Is it really really true that the whole world is going to end in 2012?

Because I know some people I still talking about 2012 the end of the world or doomsday. They saw a movie and it was called "2012" they saw that the world was coming to a end in the movie and some people think that the world will end in 2012 in real life But I think that is Stupid. Could anyone explain to me how the world IS NOT REALLY GOING TO END IN 2012?

No, it will not. The main reason it will not end in 2012 is because someone said that it will. God has promised many times over that no one knows the time of Christ's second coming, not even Christ himself. Therefore, if any man thinks he knows, he is mistaken. However, we can look at the signs of the times and recognize that it is not far off. Of course God's counting of time and ours, is quite different. Not far off to Him may mean something quite different to us. Nevertheless, we should live is such a way that we are ready whenever it might happen.
