The 2012 Myth and Equinox?
This whole thing is just story after story, is there really an equinox wobble every 26,000 years? Has NASA confirmed this? or whatever it is? If so, then how come all the other forms such as homo sapiens and home erectus' survived this 26,000 years ago?!
Are all these things such as a galactical alignment, pole shift, asteroid, nostradamous(which some say he don't mention anything about it and predicts the end in 3447 and that history channel hyped it up), are reasons people are throwing in there on "WHY" the mayan calendar ends that year?! And why doesn't some scientist or NASA official just come out and disprove these people?

That doesn't tend to help. The Bermuda Triangle nonsense has been thoroughly debunked for decades, but that detail doesn't stop people believing in it. Predictions for the impending end of the world are common and, so far, all have been reliably wrong. That doesn't stop people coming up with more of them.

Apocalypto, a HUGE lie!!?
So dissapointed of Mel Gibson. It's soo sad how many ppl learn from what they see in Hollywood and they ALWAYS put Mexico on the ground. The Mayan civilization DIDN'T wear those clothes and paint on their bodies and or piercings. Too bad many ppl now believe so because of the movie. They were the smartest civilization ever as they discovered the CERO (Math) Equinoxes, Eclipses, etc. In the movie they look amazed by the eclipse while in real life, they always new when an eclipse was gonna come and why. That's why all their pyramids were in honor to the Sun and the Universe. Do you think that Hollywood has to make real documentals and leave aside "action and F-X"?
People who know that movie was unreal is the one who has gone to Mexico and saw by themselves what the Mayan civilization is. You are right. Hollywood despites Mexico as they always show dirt, cactus, horses, 100 year-old cars and indians. But Mexico is not like that and lots of people know that.
I believe the americans hate mexicans because of the immigration poblems and they always make fun of them.
I didn't like the movie, The spaniards when they arrived to America Mayas were already gone (or dissapeared) They just found Aztecs and Moctezuma. Mayans had bathrooms and were extremely orginized and in the movie they had bodies all over the place, plus Mayan civilization was way before the spaniards, and in the movie they were building pyramids? lol...
All the sacrifices they made was prior to any astro-phenomeno.. like eclipses or equinoxes, that's why they make the sacrifices to feed their gods, they never would've been amazed by that eclipse like they shown in the movie.
Mel Gibson should've been more informed before making that film, as poeple will lear or believe the wrong idea.
And about sacrifices, native american indians were the same, and europeans killed thousands of people in the name of God (Inquisition) and Germans killed just 50 years ago thousands of innocent jewish, so if Mayans or Aztecs made sacrifices it was because of the ignorance and the time they were living.
I believe Aztecs and Mayans have achieved more stuff than the rest od native-american or the rest of the indians in the world. They deserve respect.
