Do you think the Government is behind the 2012? End of the world in general? Do they want us to feel scared?


Do you think that the Government is behind all the "information" about 2012? I think its funny how all of a sudden there is all these websites and tv shows and now a movie about the world ending. Remember 1999 and the second coming of Christ? Who said he is on Eastern Standard time anyway?!
This is just a question, I didn't say i believed in it. I thought it would be interesting to see responces.
I think the government constatly wants us to feel scared as if we need them, that's all. So, please don't think i asked this bc I believe it, just wanted to see the answers I recieved.

the government does want us to feel like we need them thats what the whole health care thing is about and pig flu and the 2012 thing too.
governments job today is to make itself needed with fear or force and it has become an over grown monster that needs to be taken down a few notches.

Anybody ever read that "Left Behind" series?
If you haven't.....read it .... it's brilliant!
It's not really 'preachy' and interesting as all hell.

As for me .....I am SO gonna be 'left behind'!
If not for the religious aspects then simply because of my notorious bad luck.
I'll be like that minister in the books, his entire church was taken in the Rapture.... everyone but but him.

So I'm ready for it! Bring it on!

End of the world as we know it.

No more work.
No more bills.
No 9-5.
No more shaving my legs.
I get to sleep in.
Take in some traveling.
Get caught up on my reading.
Get a sun tan.
I'm looking forward to it.

I've learned how to water proof matches.
I know where the nearest Hummer dealer is ...cuz with the end of the world, it's gonna be FREE.... and I don't have to purchase insurance.
I've learned how to purify water.
I've been brushing up on my first aide.
I've been reading up on survival tactics and building shelters.
How to fish with items from a sewing kit.
I've been watching a lot of Bear and his survival adventures on TV.
Now I know how to pee on my t-shirt and tie it around my head in the desert so I don't get heat stroke and how to cut the skin off of a dead sheep and turn it inside out to make a warm, comfy sleeping bag.
I'm gonna look really, really cute in all that commando gear!

Why do more and more people seem to be endorsing 2012 as the date for the end of the World?


Simply because of the Mayan Calendar, Doesn't the Bible State that No man knows when the end will come except God the Father? In that case the world would end only if God decides it is going to be 2012 when the world as we know it ends. Do people who believe in God endorse the Mayan Prophesy simply because everybody else is doing it?
