Did the mayans predict the world would end or a world changing event?
I don't believe that the world is gonna end in 2012, thats kinda stupid to think that the mayans can tell the future when they used to do human sacrifices to keep the sun happy. But did they predict the end of the world, or an event that would just change it? Did we just change their prediction into the end of the world?
It's a myth.
It was based on the Mayan Long Count calender.
A B'ak'tun of the Long Count calender lasts 394.3 years and will reset in 2012 and start a new B'ak'tun similar to the way our calender resets the day after December 31 and start a new year.
Mayans didn't predict the end of the world.
