1. How does loyalty and obedience relate to love, and how does this related to GOD’s first commandment given to Moses ‘…you shall have no other god’s before me…’?

Let’s start from the beginning. GOD didn’t really want Abraham to sacrifice his son as much as he wanted to give a proof to humanity of the super – obedience and loyalty that Abraham had. On the other hand, HE wanted to show how the perfect loyalty and obedience should be. Love, here, appears between the lines.

GOD’s love to Abraham was the reason behind choosing him as a prophet. HE depended on Abraham’s trust in HIM to convey his message to the rest of the humanity.

Trust is a direct consequence of love. Why do our children trust us? One of the main reasons is simply because they love us. Isn’t that?

GOD, in order to give a solid proof of Abraham’s perfect love, loyalty, and obedience, took the TRICK – like – order with Abraham to its utmost limits. When the process of slaughtering started to take place, GOD made Abraham’s knife lose its cutting ability. This leads us to infer that GOD didn’t have the least intention to hurt Abraham with killing his beloved son. That love was proved by honoring them – Abraham and his son during their lifetime later and by mentioning them in all holly BOOKS.

1. Why does GOD require that we sacrifice our children to HIM?

GOD DOES NOT REQUIR that we sacrifice our children to HIM. It never happened that GOD asked someone to sacrifice his children except Abraham, and even GOD’s request to Abraham was not completed and it was originally NOT planned to be completed originally. All GOD’s orders were directed to make off-spring show love and perfect respect to their parents and the vice versa.

2. Is it only required that loyalty or love be uni-directional that is that we demonstrate our loyalty to HIM but not vice-versa?

1. Since we admit that GOD has created us, we must believe that HE loves us because HE takes care of us in all ways, and HE has given us our perfect freedom to choose to OBEY him or NOT.

2. Now, since GOD loves his creatures especially those who believe in HIM, HE doesn’t want them to endanger their final destiny by believing in other god, so HE made his first commandment given to Moses ‘…you shall have no other god’s before me…’?

3. Because he loves creatures, he’s sent the prophets with their books to HELP them choose the right way to win paradise, and to warn them that if they did the opposite they would be involved in big troubles on the doomsday.

This question is stretching things a bit beyond THE MAIN POINT, but Muslims have told me that in the name of Jihad if they think GOD asks them to kill or sacrifice themselves or others then that is also a highest calling…your reference to highest calling above…How does this related to GOD’s other command given to Moses that ‘…you shall not kill…’?

As a fundamental Islamic rule, like Christianity and Judaism, killing people is strictly forbidden. Wars or Jihad activities, in Islam, are legal calls and orders to protect oneself. When do Muslims are invited to launch a war or Jihad? This is the question. They are driven by GOD’s highest calling to:

1. To defend their land against physical occupations by using every legal mean.
2. To resist the invaders as far as possible.

3. To protect other Muslims in other countries by all possible means when those the “other Muslims” are subjected to any kind of humiliations or religion-discrimination if it is possible.

4. To respect the life of the civilians anywhere especially in their own countries, even if these countries are at war with Muslims.

5. To love or to desire to worship HIM alone and, to love HIM more than money, children, satisfying ones’ emotional needs, breaking the laws(even the laws of the NONMUSLIM ones), destroying nature for fun, or sex for GOD has promised those who love HIM in that way to be loved and blessed by HIM and to be rewarded in their life time and on the doomsday.

In this sense, there are more than one highest call asking people to kill or to be killed. NO, Shading blood, according to the Quran, is forbidden and it is more dangerous than knocking down Al Ka’aba in Mecca itself. The Ka’aba which was first rebuilt by Abraham and his son.

Misreading and misunderstanding the Quran, the abuse they get from the invaders, mistreatment they receive from their own rulers, push some narrow minded or so- called extremist Muslims to enlarge a single highest call of fighting for GOD’s sake to fight whom they think to be their enemies.
