The funny thing here is that Capitalism, which is the coup de grace of all right wing pundits — is a governmental Laissez-faire. However, the exact same people are constantly implementing Draconian tactics to secure and propagate their power. This is genius because it demonstrates how the people in power are thinking that if they can convince enough people not to intervene in their affairs, then they can do whatever they want without anyone being the wiser. This is nothing short of legitimized high level corruption and it is the same kind of corruption that caused Rome to fall. So I sit back from my comfortable view and plan stock options in companies producing apocalypse-survival gear and just waiting for that market to take off. Won’t be long now.

Well it depends on what you define as zombie. I think an "undead" kind of being is completely out of the picture. What makes more sense is a human which has completely lost their mind and become overwhelmed with rage, or hatred. Which is probably possibly if most of the brain(except for motor functions and base survival instincts) is ruined in some way. I don't think the whole "eating" other people would really come about unless the creatures needed to. We're not strictly carnivores and our brains know that, so zombies would probably eat others things, and the occasional human if you were that unlucky.

Believe it or not, the government actually has a disaster plan for anything similar to some kind of zombie outbreak.
