2012 survival lottery

2012 website.. is this legit?

i found this website while logging in to myspace. It looks like an advertisement, and has information regarding the end of the world scenarios. There's even a "lottery" that ensures your chance of survival. It's very scary and I wanted to know what this website is all about. Is this for real??? It's called the Institute for Human Continuity... here is the link:

The IHC Lottery is part of a Sony Corporation viral marketing campaign. The reason for this type of marketing is that it takes advantage of the already existing genuine interest in the 2012 subject related to the Maya Calendar.

Also connected to this are some other viral marketing activities on Twitter, Myspace, YouTube and via other Sony Corp owned websites.

The reason they are saying the world will end in 2012 is simply because that is the storyline of their film!

2012 Commercial for real or not?

Alright so im sitting on my computer with my tv on just chilling, next thing I know there is a commercial on for a group it went something like "The Mayans predicted it, scientists believe it, major solar activity will devastate the earth, luckily (insert group) has been preparing for years, we have even introduced a lottery so everyone has an equal chance of survival." Now it was on Adult Swim at 130 or so, so I figured it was a joke at first but I think it was actually serious, how does something like this get on tv? You would think that the gov would have a huge lock down on things like that to prevent panic, but basically im wondering if 1. Its actually a real commercial 2. Whats your opinion on the whole 2012 thing cause I will be 21 in september of that year and only 2 years outta high school so if its for real im gonna be a little upset.

It was a comercial for a movie that will be coming out. At the end it said "This film has not been rated" but it flashed quick. For a second I thought it was real too but the ending proved it was a movie. So dont you worry.
