2012 mayan calendar
A few years from now, how much do you think people will make of this whole 2012/Mayan Calendar thing?
First off, I am not a believer in all this stuff about the world ending in the year 2012. But I am very intrigued and fascinated by all the prophecies for that year, as well as the supposed fact that the Mayan calendat ends on December 21, 2012. This whole thing is being talked about more and more on the internet, and its even getting some air time in the mainstream media.

So my question is... how much do you think people will make of this when we actually get to 2012? Will there be mass riots? People giving away all their possessions? Building bomb shelters and all that?
I actually think there could be a fair bit of panic. But I guess we'll just have to wait a few years and see.
the world is not actually supposed to end on that day, it's just that the Mayans couldn't see beyond it. it is possible there will be some major catastrophic changes brought on by the chaos that insues, but other than that i don't believe the world is going to split open or anything else like that.
ya know... the reason the Mayan calendar ends on that date could be something very simple. maybe they just ran out of room and were too lazy to start another one?

Do you think it will be the end of time when the Mayan Calendar runs out in 2012?
The Mayan calendar runs out in 2012, is this going to be the end of the world as we know it or will it pass us by without a blip?
There are many thoughts and opinions regarding this concept. My personal opinion on it is more of a ending and beginning. I believe that it will be the end of civilization as we know it now or as we will know it then. As it will also be the beginning of a new type of living and spiritual awareness. There will also be in my view, a more available ability to increase natural awareness both physically and spiritually. Then again, this could happen at any time during any day. It will be when it needs to be. Having fear of it or the thought of it or of anything else for that matter will only cause unneeded negativity in your life. Keep the peace and don't fear of things unknown or that have yet to come.
With all things there is a cycle of beginning and end. Where there is something ending, something begins. It all holds the natural balance of everything in existence, known and unknown.
