2012 21.12

Dec 21st 2012 (12-21-12) and Global Warming?
Apparently, some people are saying our Sun will line up with the galactic equator (they are calling it the centre of the milky way) on 12-21-2012 at 11:11 GMT
They are also saying this is the exact time and date the mayan calendar ends. (or has been calculated to)
There are theories around about this being judgment day or dooms day just like all those dates before that the world was supposed to end. (eg 1984,1997, 2000, 2004, 2006 etc)
Anyway this event started in 1997 when our solar system first started to cross the galactic equator and ends in 2016, with 2012 being the middle where our sun crosses.
Now, what I wanted to ask is, Global warming was first noticed to be occuring in the late 1990s and it's going up at an as yet unexplained rate.
Do you think that this event has anything to do with global warming? and are we all going to melt or fry in 2012?
Global warming has buqqer all to do with 2012. There is no connection to accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of Earth caused by burning coal and oil with the hogwash about 2012. I can assure you that CO2 is accumulating, I used to analyse gases including air for a job and I noticed in 1976 that CO2 was higher than it was supposed to be according to the textbooks on the subject that had mostly been published in the 1960s. That is fair dinkum.
The rest is drivel.
There is no photon belt.
The poles of rotation will not flip.
The magnetic poles will move, but they are moving all the time anyway.
There is no planet X, Niburu or brown dwarf / black hole / whatever on a known collision course with Earth.
We might be passing through the galactic central plane / equator right now because we don't know where that is and nothing particular is likely to happen when and IF we do. We might already have gone through in 1868, 2002 or last Tuesday, or it might be twenty or ten thousand years in the future. Or never.
Aliens from "Zeta Reticuli" are not in mental contact with some nutball woman in the USA.
None of the prophets like Edgar Cayce or Nostradamus ever predicted anything with any precision. When Cayce tried to, it was always wrong. Nobody can understand most of what old Nosty wrote anyway and it's known that some of the verses attributed to him are actually fakes. Some of his verses which might be genuine appear to be commentaries on events in his own lifetime.
The long count Mayan calendar will end, but we don't actually know whether it will be on 21 or 23 December since the start date is not certain. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. It is expected to have about as much effect as the change of our calendar on any 31 December. In other words, none at all.
Edit - I suspected this Q was a leg pull right from the start and now I have checked your profile I reckon I was right . But some thickhead has given me thumbs down.

Maya Calendar 2012 - 21.12.2012 The ultimate Proof - Nibiru & Planet-X | new consciousness 2/2
polar flip 21/12/2012 Is anyone buying into this theory?
In 2012 our sun will briefly be aligned with the galactic equator. That's something that's happened countless times in the past and absolutely nothing happened to the sun, Earth, or any of the other bodies in our solar system. The predicted catastrophe is nothing more substantial than what a few greedy writers have dreamed up to sell books. The end-of-the-world scenario is based on some mysterious, totally unknown force that's supposed to wreak havoc. Only problem is that none of it...repeat, NONE of it has any basis in scientific fact whatsoever.

Uh, your list of recent movies is wildly incomplete.
Yes, movies with special effects are popular. What of it?
????? Is WHAT a coincidence? Does media know WHAT?
Anyone who thinks that fantasy movies are based on reality is deeply confused.
